This website is operated by Life In Progress Counseling, PLLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a Texas professional limited liability company providing counseling services. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit https://lifeinprogresstherapy.com or contact us through the site.
This policy covers website and inquiry data. It does not replace the confidentiality rules that apply once you become a client, or any Notice of Privacy Practices we provide for clinical records.

Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us and limited technical information created when you use the site.
Information you provide
If you use the contact or consultation form, email us, call us, or otherwise reach out, we may collect:
- name
- email address
- phone number
- any message or details you include (for example, why you are seeking therapy)
If you opt in to our text-message program, we also collect the phone number and related information described in our separate Messaging Privacy Policy:

Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting provider and the site software may automatically collect:
- IP address
- browser type and device information
- pages viewed, referring URL, and date/time of the visit
- cookies or similar technologies needed to run and secure the site
We do not ask visitors to create public accounts, leave public comments, or upload images. If those features are not turned on, we do not collect the comment, Gravatar, or media data described in generic WordPress templates.
How we use information
We use website and inquiry information to:
- respond to consultation requests and other messages
- schedule and follow up on appointments
- operate, maintain, and secure the website
- comply with law and protect the safety of clients, staff, and others
- send texts only if you have opted in, as described in the Messaging Privacy Policy
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use website inquiry information for third-party advertising.

Who we share information with
We share website and inquiry information only as needed to run the practice and the site, including:
- website hosting and maintenance providers (the site is hosted on WordPress infrastructure)
- email and communication tools used to reply to you
- TheraSaaS and related providers, if you join the text-message program (see the Messaging Privacy Policy)
- professional advisors, insurers, or vendors under appropriate confidentiality obligations
- authorities or others when we believe disclosure is required by law, a valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or property
- Google, as the provider of Google Analytics, which receives the usage data described above
No mobile number or text-message opt-in data is shared with third parties for their marketing.
Website inquiries vs. clinical records
A message sent through this website is an inquiry, not a treatment record.
If you become a client, clinical information is kept in our electronic health record and is handled under Texas confidentiality rules, professional ethics, and applicable federal law (including HIPAA where it applies). Those records are used to provide care, bill for services, meet legal and professional duties, and for the limited exceptions required by law (for example, serious risk of harm, suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, or a valid court order).
Do not send sensitive health details through the public contact form if you can avoid it. Use the form for scheduling and a brief description of what you are looking for.
How long we keep information
- Contact-form and email inquiries: kept as long as needed to respond, determine whether we will work together, and meet recordkeeping or legal needs, then deleted or securely archived.
- Server and security logs: kept for a limited period needed for operations and security.
- Text-message program data: as described in the Messaging Privacy Policy.
- Clinical records (clients only): retained according to Texas law and professional standards, which is longer than typical website inquiry storage.
Your choices and requests
You may:
- decline to use the contact form and call or email instead
- opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT (see the Messaging Privacy Policy)
- ask us what website inquiry information we have about you
- ask us to correct or delete website inquiry information, unless we must keep it for legal, security, or professional reasons

This section applies to website and inquiry data. Requests about a clinical chart follow the process we give clients for health records.
Children
This website is intended for adults considering therapy for themselves or their relationship. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a small professional practice and a hosted website. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Please use the contact form only for information you are comfortable sending online.
Links to other sites
Our site may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are their own. Review those policies before providing information there.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the site change. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you are using the site under the revised policy.
